The News Center reported, on 24th February, COSCO SHIPPING Ports and Qingdao Port International held signing ceremony of Ocean Bridge International Ports Management Company Limited. Mr. Zheng Minghui the chairman of the Company and Mr. Zhang Wei, the vice chairman and general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Ports witnessed the signing ceremony. Ms. Jiang Chunfeng the vice president of Qingdao Port International and Mr. Guan Shuguang the vice general manager of COSCO Shipping Port signed on behalf of both parties. The two sides agreed to create a Model of the Operation and Management for the Global Terminal, to deeply Integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative.
The cooperation and friendship between COSCO SHIPPING Ports and Qingdao Port International goes back to ancient times. In 2017, the cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING Ports and Qingdao Port International was upgraded and realized the comprehensive strategic cooperation in four parts including shipping, terminal, logistics and finance. The two sides integrated their respective advantages and played a synergistic effect, with the integrated development and all-round effort, to promote the cooperation of the two sides to open a new chapter and enter the new era.
In 2017, COSCO SHIPPING continued to increase sea routes and shipping capacity in Qingdao Port. took Qingdao Port as the center to lay out the sea routes network of the north China, and became the shipping company with the most sea routes, the largest transshipment scale and the most operating containers in Qingdao Port. At the same time, the two sides actively promoted the cooperation of overseas terminal projects.
Through the establishment of Ocean Bridge International Ports Management Company Limited by joint venture, the two sides will actively explore the innovation of the port operation and management mode and further cooperate on the export of port operation and management both in abroad and home. The two sides will make full integration of project development and management to realize the complementary advantages, raise the level of the operation and management of the terminal and achieve win-win development, to well integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative.
